If you manage multiple accounts you may have come across the annoying message on Instagram Sorry we couldn’t log you in.
Before we begin, click here to see if Instagram is down.
If instagram is not down, then this is more than likely due to exceeding the maximum allowed login limit of 5 instagram accounts. But for many users, 5 Instagram accounts is not enough!
If you have been greeted with the message “Sorry we couldn’t log you in” on Instagram, fortunately, this is an easy fix.
STEP 1
First, click OK and log in to any one of your other working accounts. Once you are logged in, hit the GEAR icon in the upper right corner, next to the Edit Profile button. This takes you to the Options menu.
STEP 2
Once you are on the Options Menu, you want to scroll all the down to the bottom of the page and click Log Out of All Accounts. Then Click “Log Out“
STEP 3
The next screen allows you to manage all your accounts. Instagram allows you to log in up to 5 accounts. You can add more, but only be logged in to 5.
STEP 4
Log back into all your accounts. Or Log out of any seldom used accounts and add a 6th. Instagram allows you to remain logged in to 5 but you can add more. I currently manage 6.
Hopefully this helps. I had to search around and only saw instructions to remove and reinstall the Instagram app. This is much easier… No need to uninstall Instagram.
